What will I learn?
In this taster workshop, you will be taught the fundamental techniques of throwing on the potter’s wheel, which include wedging, centring, pulling up and forming the clay with your hands and tools. Through expert demonstration and personalised guidance, you will be supported to create a cup, bowl and pourer. This immersive workshop will give you an authentic experience of learning the craft of pottery in a fully creative and supportive environment. To complete the set of three objects, you will choose your own colour scheme from a selection of the studio’s glazes.
What will I take home?
On this course you will make three pots to have glazed and fired in the kiln. Your pottery will be ready to collect from the studio three weeks later.
