The Tinto tableware collection combines glazed and matte porcelain surfaces and is characterised by strong forms and clean lines. The shapes of the Tinto collection are designed with a consideration for balance and harmony, where colour defines form. The name ‘tinto’ originates from the latin word ‘tinctus’, which means dyed, stained or tinted.

The collection is a culmination of three years of living and researching in Spain and emerged from daily experience of using traditional wares such as el vaso and la jarra on which the contemporary cup and carafe set are based. The six complementary pastel shades of the collection emerged from colour surveys of the surrounding environment during that period and resulted in hundreds of ceramic colour tests being carried out to conclude the final six in the collection.
